How does an eyelid correction work?

1

Reception and personal guidance

On the day of your surgery, you will be welcomed by our doctor's assistant, who will accompany you to the treatment room and reassure you during the preparation.

Marking out the operating area

Before the procedure, we carefully mark out the treatment area. This is a crucial step: the more precisely you mark, the better the final result will be.

The eyelid correction

Recover with cooling

After the surgery, you will receive a cooling mask to reduce swelling and promote recovery. It is important to keep your skin cool for the first three days. You will receive clear instructions for this from the doctor's assistant. Regular cooling contributes to a smooth recovery.

Removing stitches

No, you don't need to be put under general anesthesia. The treatment is performed with a local anesthetic around the eyes. This means you'll be feeling better quickly after the procedure and won't experience any side effects like nausea. You also don't need to fast before the treatment.

Pain perception varies from person to person, but most patients report the procedure is virtually painless. The anesthesia itself may feel a little uncomfortable, but rarely causes any discomfort. After the procedure, you may experience mild pain similar to that of a graze. If needed, you can take paracetamol, although this is usually not necessary.
