Drs. A.M.A. Dulaimi is an eye surgeon and founder of Looks Clinics. You wouldn't have an eyelid correction performed by just any clinic. With that in mind, he founded Looks Clinics in 2019: a specialised clinic for eyelid surgery, with branches in Zwolle and Amsterdam and an intake location in Rotterdam.
Education and experience
Even before completing his medical studies at the VU, drs. Dulaimi was accepted into the internationally renowned ophthalmology program at Maastricht University. There, he gained a wealth of practical experience and developed his surgical skills. Subsequently, he obtained the European diploma for ophthalmologists in Paris. In addition to his work at Looks Clinics, drs. Dulaimi works as an eye surgeon at FYEO.
Vision
With all his experience, drs. Dulaimi knows the anatomy of the eye and its immediate surroundings down to the last detail. “Not nearly every clinic employs a specialised eye surgeon. In many clinics, non-specialist doctors with little clinical experience perform eyelid corrections. I have my reservations about this, because experience is needed to know exactly what is feasible and what is not.”
He opts for subtle changes that suit the client's age, face, and style. “We work very precisely, so we need to remove as little skin as possible to achieve the desired result. That is a prerequisite for me.”
Guidelines
Drs. Dulaimi works according to the guidelines of the Dutch Ophthalmological Society and the Dutch Orbital Society. At Looks Clinics, he is assisted by eye surgeon Dr. Lenneke de Visser, aesthetic physicians drs. Robin Vogel-Zoglmann and drs. N. Lahdo, and a team of medical assistants.
